Installing an endpoint agent is quick. Getting people to accept it is the real work. Rollouts fail when employees find out about monitoring by accident.
Start small, start with IT
Enroll five to ten devices, including IT's own laptops. Turn on DLP and the obvious web categories. A pilot like this can be live in an afternoon.
Look before you tighten
Spend the pilot learning, not blocking. Because Aavishield DLP is monitor-only, you can see real findings without breaking anyone's work. Talk to the teams most affected before you change anything.
Say what it does, and what it does not
Tell people plainly:
- which controls are on,
- that DLP records findings but does not block work,
- whether their device has activity monitoring, which is off by default and switched on per device, and
- who can see the data.
Share your acceptable use policy. Ours requires you to tell employees what is monitored.
Let people install it themselves
With Aavishield, employees install the agent from their own portal, and the portal shows them their devices and what was blocked. Nothing is hidden.
Then roll out
Send the enrollment link to everyone and watch coverage on the overview. Most companies reach every device within two to three weeks, and most of that time is spent talking to people.
Read the full checklist in Plan a pilot, then roll out to everyone.
